Announcement is made of the engagement of Benita Caraballo and Eric Luis Olivo. She is the daughter of Juan Caraballo of Angeles, Puerto Rico, and Carmen Concepcion of Bridgeport, and he is the son of Jose Luis Olivo of Bridgeport and Aida Luz Rios of Worcester, Mass.

A May 31 wedding is planned.

The future bride is a graduate of Warren Harding High School and Connecticut Business Institute. She is a counselor at St. Vincent's Special Needs Services, Trumbull.

The future bridegroom, a graduate of Bridgeport's Central High School, is a carpenter with Jeff Tallman Builders, Fairfield.
