SEYMOUR — Seymour police Sunday night were investigating a car crash on Route 67 on the town line involving an Oxford officer.

The accident, which occurred about 9:30 p.m., was initially reported to be in Oxford involving an Oxford officer and under investigation by State Police. But by 10:45 p.m., state police were saying it was a Seymour case, and by 11 p.m., Seymour police were confirming it was their investigation but involved an Oxford officer.

The officer, who was not named, apparently suffered no injuries but went to a local hospital to be checked. An erratic driver had struck his vehicle, police said. There were no reports of any other injuries.
