Tomlinsons' house specialty chilidog borders on the gourmet. It comes to the table and resembles a Philly cheese steak. But the scent wafting from it is undeniably that of a fine chilidog. This is a dog, made by artisans, for a refined pallet. It keeps its snap from beginning to end, with good pop on the flavors. What prevents this dog from going completely over the gourmet and becoming too hoity-toity is that it's a little messy, as a good chilidog should be. The chili itself has a pleasant sweetness to floats just throughout the meal, but allows the spices a slow burn. The fresh bacon Tomlinsons uses is a bold move and proves this place isn't going to cut corners. Not too many places are that dedicated to their dogs to eat the expense of buying fresh bacon and paying a cook to grind it down.
