MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Southern New Hampshire sent the game into overtime on Cory Vejraska's 3-point shot with two seconds left in regulation and went on to beat Bridgeport 72-69 on Sunday.
UB trailed by many as 12 points in the first half before taking a 67-64 lead with nine seconds left in the first half.
UB junior Jermaine Washington led all scorers in the game with 23 points. He was joined in double-figure scoring by Steve Martin with 17 points and junior Dave Boykin with 12.
Marcus Matthews led Southern New Hampshire in scoring with 13 points. Freshman Greg DeSantis, a Notre Dame-Fairfield graduate, scored 11 points and had five assists.
