Beth Israel of Westport/Norwalk, 40 King St., will conduct a Tisha B'Av Memorial Service on Monday at 8:30 p.m.

The event commemorates the destruction of two sacred temples.

Both temples were set aflame, centuries apart, on the Hebrew date of the 9th of Av.

Hindu Cultural Center programs

The youth group of the Hindu Cultural Center of Connecticut will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 5 in Pavilion 3 of Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford.
