SOUTHINGTON — The husband of a second-grade teacher here says his wife has resigned after controversy over her appearance on a satellite radio shock jock's show.

According to the Web site of "The Howard Stern Show," Marie Jarry resigned after pictures of her in a bikini taken on the show caused problems.

Aaron Jarry said on the show that his wife had no choice and submitted her resignation earlier this week. According to Jarry, his wife felt pressure from the Thalberg School community when the pictures were released.

The couple won $5,000 on the show when Stern staged his "Ugliest Man, Hottest Wife" contest earlier this month.
