What business is it of the media whether former U.S. Sen. John Edwards (or anyone, for that matter) engaged in an extramarital affair? Who cares? These kind of tabloid stories only deepen the pain of Edwards' family and serve no practical purpose whatsoever. Presenting these stories as front page "news" is only evidence of how low the U.S. media has sunk. Gasoline prices are obscene, and we have a sitting president who has flagrantly violated the U.S. Constitution, causing thousands of needless deaths, and who should be in prison. Calls for impeachment are ignored as "irrelevant" by the media as well as by the spineless Democrats in Congress. And amid all of this, what makes the front page? Score one more for the politics of distraction!
