VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Must register to vote by noon the last business day before the primary or
14 days before the general election. Mailed applications must be postmarked and hand-delivered applications must be received by Registrars at least 5 days before a primary and 14 days before an election.

There is a three month waiting period for switching party affiliation.

QUALIFICATIONS

To register to vote in the State of Connecticut, an individual must meet the following qualifications:
• Be a United States citizen
• Be a resident of a Connecticut Town
• Be at least 17 years old (you can vote when you turn 18)
• Have completed confinement and parole if previously convicted of a felony and have
• had your voting rights restored by Registrar
