With the busy schedules of our students in mind, the Graduate School at the University of New Haven offers a wide range of master's degree programs in "cohort" style. In each case, a small group of students progress through the program together, from start to finish. Participants share an interactive learning environment that fosters productive networking and the kinds of friendships that enrich not only graduate studies but also one's lifelong professional development.

Classes are held in the evening and/or on weekends, and the programs are "hassle-free." Registration is a one-time event, at the start of the program, and books and materials for each course are delivered right to the classroom. Tuition includes the costs of both books and meals. The emphasis for students is on mutual career-strengthening, with the support and guidance of first-rate faculty members and visiting professional practitioners.

Among the programs available in cohort style are Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Taxation, Engineering Management, and two different forms of the M.B.A. degree: Emerging Leaders and Executive.

The master of arts program in organizational and industrial psychology (MAIOP) is for those interested in careers in private and public corporations, consulting firms, government agencies, and applied research institutions. The program, built on a strong foundation of theory, emphasizes application of principles in a wide variety of work settings and features a rich

network of relationships with professional organizations. Our MAIOP program conforms to the standards of CAMPP, the Council of Applied Master's Programs in Psychology, and our students are active in the award-winning chapter of the Society for Human resources Management on the UNH campus.

The master of science degree program in taxation is geared to the professional needs of accountants, attorneys, government employees, and executives who require advanced expertise in tax law. Small and informal classes complement state-of-the-art teaching and research tools.

The master of science degree program in engineering management-the only one of its kind in Connecticut-combines advanced technical methodologies with up-to-date business management practices. The program's goals include achievement of optimal operations, quality assurance, and e-solutions, with related study of organizational change and development, accounting, financial management, marketing practice, and leadership. In a career-enhancing cross-disciplinary combination of business and engineering interests, the program meets the needs of technical professionals who seek to become leaders in their companies and their industry.

The M.B.A. for Emerging Leaders program allows busy adults to achieve their master's degree quickly and conveniently, with no sacrifice of quality. The Executive M. B. A. program, the second-oldest in New England, with more than 1,500 graduates to date, is designed for experienced full-time managers who wish to complete their degree without interrupting their careers or their family life.
